At times, I wish to convey a moment of unhurried, solitary reflection and pleasure. We, who live in a world plagued by overwhelming images and concepts whose purpose is to persuade and entice, cannot help but fall prey to this invasive onslaught that undermines individuality and introspection and can numb the spirit. By contrast, may this artwork offer a modest atmosphere of respite where an open, contemplative attitude may be rewarded.
