Contemporary abstract artist

I have transcended the barriers of time and space in my life as an artist. I am breathing forth an experienced challenge to this calling.
— Don Artamas

Contemporary Abstract Artist Don Artamas takes a spiritual and transformative approach to painting, capturing a glimpse of the soul in his sweeping, minimalist works. He maintains a subdued palette of limited hues and rich texture. Worked mainly in shades of grey with occasional touches of color, Artamas' art is process-driven, filled with emotional and atmospheric depth that is at once fierce and serene, like the quiet fury of an ocean as the storm passes on.

Don Artamas exhibits internationally as a professional artist. Having grown up with an international upbringing, he is currently based in Indiana, U.S.A.

Thus my subjects do not consist of structured content. I relate to the suggestion of restlessness, subtle, yet ongoing motion without regard for time. I’m struck by elusive textures, atmospheric qualities, dynamic shapes, soft contours, subtle transitions or whatever elicits a response from the “eye” of my mind. All of these keep goading me to create the unexpected - regardless of technique. Clearly, the emergence of the unseen springs forth only from within.

When buying from an artist . . .
you're buying more than just an artwork.
You're buying a piece of heart,
a part of a soul,
a moment in someone's life.
Most importantly,
you're buying the artist more time
to do something they are passionate about.
